Vigla

Vigla is the same watch as vahti, one level up and in English: the open registers the European Union already publishes, brought into one place instead of eighteen portals. The name is Greek, from the Latin vigilia - the frontier watch.

What it reads

Eighteen sections, each tied to one named EU register and built only on data those institutions publish openly.

Money and markets: EU funding calls, deadlines and budgets from the Funding and Tenders Portal. Financial-sanctions listings, regimes and aliases from the EU Financial Sanctions Files. Payment and e-money authorisations and withdrawals from the European Banking Authority register. New energy-market participants from ACER's REMIT register. Merger, Digital Markets Act and Foreign Subsidies cases from DG Competition. Significance changes and licence withdrawals for ECB-supervised banks. Procurement calls and awards from Tenders Electronic Daily.
Safety and recalls: Medicine approvals and status changes from the European Medicines Agency. Substances of very high concern on the REACH candidate list from ECHA. Airworthiness directives from EASA. Active-substance approvals and residue-limit changes from the EU Pesticides Database. Dangerous-product and food recalls from the EU Safety Gate. Trial authorisations and status changes from CTIS.
Rules and rights: Qualified trust service providers from the eIDAS trusted lists. Protected food, wine and spirit names from the eAmbrosia register. Commission initiatives and open consultations from Have Your Say.
Security and crisis: Newly published and known-exploited software vulnerabilities from the ENISA EU Vulnerability Database. Copernicus emergency rapid-mapping activations.

What it does not do

It is not an official EU channel and does not pretend to be one: it relays the registers as they are and links back to them, and it does not guarantee that a source is complete, correct or current. Check anything that matters against the original. The crisis-mapping section is explicit that it shows mapped responses after the fact and is not an emergency warning feed; nobody should wait on Vigla for a siren. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to profile, and no data is sold.

Where it stands

Live, in English, free, and openly under construction. The banner says it on every page: sections are still being built and email alerts are not open yet. Browsing and searching work today and are free, with no sign-in and nothing asked of you. The service processes only the request metadata the hosting platform needs to serve and defend the site; there is no account to have. Terms and privacy were last updated on 28 July 2026 and name an independent individual provider in Finland, which is accurate: it is one person.
